• The Johnson County Museum – Learn all about the development of Johnson County at the Johnson County Museum! The museum boasts several exhibits, including the U.S.’s first historic house museum, which is an all-electric house from the 1950s. You’ll also see a school house from the 1860s, maps documenting the changes in the county, and a variety of artifacts and documents that really show how the county developed over time. • The Mahaffie Stagecoach Shop & Farm – Follow the stagecoach to the historic Mahaffie House in Olathe, KS. This property was once a stop for those traveling on the Oregon and California Trails, and is now a gift shop and museum. Whether you go for one of the many Civil War reenactments or you simply want to check out this historic structure and imagine all of the people that have passed through, we think you’ll treasure this piece of the past as much as we do.
